The Rescue Diver program will build your confidence as a diver, giving you valuable experience in emergency management and prevention as well as heightening your awareness of the surrounding environment.

Advanced open water and want to gain experience as a safety diver on courses.

Want to become a Master Scuba Diver or Divemaster.

What you’ll learn

You’ll start with elearning Online learning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Complete the knowledge development section of your course whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. There are five sections with reviews and a final exam. Try to complete this before your course starts, or at least the first three sections.

You’ll learn to identify and fix minor issues before they become big problems, gain a lot of confidence and have serious fun along the way.

You will learn the techniques needed to deal with tired, panicked, unresponsive and unconscious divers, both on the surface and underwater, including in water rescue breathing techniques and the recovery of divers from below the surface to a safe exit point.

This is a full 2 days of fun training in and out of the water.

FAQs

  • You must be at least 12 years of age.

    You must be an Advanced Open Water diver.

    You must be medically fit to dive.

    Must have a valid first aid certificate.

  • You will be sent your digital learning package to do before the start of your course. Your rescue course will be over two full days you will learn self rescue, panic diver, how to deal with unresponsive and even non-breathing divers, emergency situations and more!

    Before starting, you also need to show proof of a First aid and CPR course that is within the last 2 years. If you don’t have one be sure to click “ I need to do my first aid” in checkout to get a bundle deal. You can check the dates of the first aid course in our booking system to make sure the timings suit you.

  • Your certification is now an Ecard to help reduce plastic waste. To access that download the PADI app. Info can be found here.

  • Included in your course:

    PADI e-learning, you’ll get e-learning to complete and keep (2 sets if you have selected the EFR first aid course also).

    All processing fees for your PADI license. (for both Rescue and EFR if you have selected both courses).

    Use of standard dive equipment during your course. Although at this level we suggest having your own mask and snorkel, computer and SMB and reel (We can help you with those instore).

  • Refreshments, there is a cafe at Bouley Bay, and we also sell snacks and drinks.

    Extra sessions, if you do not meet the performance requirements for a dive you may have to repeat that session before progressing with the course.

    Pocket mask for rescue breathing (select this at the check out online or purchase in the store).

  • you can join our dive club this gives you an opportunity to expand on your new skills whilst grabbing some awesome deals!

    If you also have 50 logged dives you can take the next step on the PADI ladder and become a Master scuba diver.

    You can enrol on the PADI divemaster course once you have 40 logged dives.

    You can choose an area that interests you and take our speciality courses!
