Who are you?

I want to find out if scuba diving is for me...

If you have never dived before then the Discover Scuba Diving program gives you the chance to see what it’s all about and to experience your first breaths underwater. What’s more if you enjoy the experience and want to learn to scuba diving we’ll deduct the cost from the full Open Water course!

I want to learn to dive and gain a certification...

Perhaps you have already done a trial dive, or perhaps you have always known you wanted to be able to scuba dive. Now you want to go on and learn the skills of scuba diving and gain a qualification that is recognised all over the world. The Open Water Diver course is for you.

I am a qualified diver but want to develop more advanced skills and experience...

We teach the full range of PADI courses. Whatever your current level, we can help you develop new scuba skills and gain new certifications. Take a look at the Course Chart to see where you can go next!

I am already a qualified diver and just want to go diving!

There’s a wealth of opportunity for scuba diving in Jersey, from the easily (and not so easily!) accessible shore dives, dozens of wrecks, offshore reefs and trips to sites such as Sark and even the northern coast of France. See here for a guide to the more common dives sites in Jersey. If you are looking for dive buddies drop into the Dive Centre for a chat and we’ll see if we can match you up with others in the same situation.

I have dived abroad and I want to try local diving...

Many people’s first experience of scuba diving happens when they are on holiday, usually in tropical countries. Even though Jersey waters are not as warm there is still a fantastic underwater world to explore, and if you’ve been bitten by the scuba diving bug you can have just as much fun here as you can in more exotic locations. Explore the website to see what options are available to you, whether it’s going on to learn more scuba diving skills, experience different types of diving, or just meeting up with other people to go diving with.

I am a qualified diver visiting Jersey...

If you are planning a visit to Jersey and hope to get a dive or two in whilst you are here we can assist. We hire a full range of scuba equipment and can help co-ordinate your equipment and air fill needs with any charter dives you may wish to book. Of course there’s plenty of shore diving as well and we can arrange an escorted dive with one of our Instructors or Divemasters. See here for information on our Discover Local Diving program, or here for links to local dive boat operators. If you want to book a course with us, send us an email or give us a call and we will try to fit something in with the dates you’ll be here. There a wide variety of accommodation available in Jersey, but visiting divers can also take advantage of discounted rates at the Water’s Edge Hotel here in Bouley Bay. Please give us a call for more information.

I am going on holiday – should I learn to dive before I go?

Learning to dive before you go on holiday means you won’t be spending quality diving time in a classroom! It also means mean that as a more experienced diver you will be more likely to appreciate the diving you do, rather than thinking about how to dive. If you don’t have time to complete the whole course in Jersey, you can take the Referral route and complete part here, for example the classroom sessions or the confined water sessions, and then the rest when you are on holiday.

I trained with another organisation but I want to cross over to PADI...

No problem! You can use you existing qualification as the prerequisite qualification requirement for the PADI course that you want to take. See here for a table of the most common equivalent qualifications. Alternatively if you just want a PADI certification card that is equivalent to your current qualification level, you can take a shortened version of the PADI equivalent course by taking advantage of the Experienced Diver program.
